COOKERY SCHOOL

Stay at our rustic Italian home tucked away in the Venetian countryside of Italy, near the Prosecco valley, between Venice and the Dolomites.

Surrounded by woodland, this is the perfect place to experience unique cookery lessons from a professional chef in a relaxed home environment. Have fun learning to cook tasty Italian food, living the ‘dolce vita’, all while dining, relaxing and sipping delicious Prosecco and wines. A perfect way to begin your discovery of the regional culture and cuisine.


Whether you treat yourself or a loved one to a week, three days or one of the other course options available, we are sure you will learn not only great new techniques, but also make friends for life. We would be delighted to advise you on combining your cookery stay with a variety of activities, from cycling, hiking, skiing, visiting local markets, to cultural excursions to Venice and surrounding areas.

We offer professional hands-on cooking classes in small groups (two to eight students) as well as:

  • Organic and foraged ingredients used during your cooking classes

  • Time to explore Venice and the Prosecco valley

  • Culinary or wine tasting excursions

  • The guidance of a native Italian chef

All courses are composed from the fruits of your labour, with extra dishes and plating ideas from the chef. You can feel free to enjoy helping the chef plate up or take that well-earned seat back to relax. Your dining experience also includes homemade bread, Prosecco, endless red and white house wine, and only the freshest local ingredients.

Your cooking lessons

With chef Andrea, you can choose from a range of lessons structures, from preparing a full three or four course menu or concentrating on fine tuning specific areas: from pasta and gnocchi, to fish, bread, meat or dessert skills.
Everything will be done to ensure you have the same incredible result time and time again and gain the confidence to cook like an Italian chef when you get home.

You will be given a short but important lesson in knife skills, learning how to chop like a professional chef. We will show you easy techniques to make sure you work in a safe and fast way. Start to feel confident using knives and halve the time needed for meal preparation when you get home!

For preparing our delicious Italian meal, all menus are pre-agreed and hand selected based on group needs and passions. We also offer vegetarian options and menus.

Throughout your lesson, you will also get an invaluable insight into chef Andrea’s years of secrets and tricks learned from the kitchens of professional restaurants. You can learn how exactly to make the perfect béchamel sauce or a velvet cheese fondue, fresh gnocchi and home made pasta. Perfect your tagliatelle, tortellini, lasagne or ravioli making skills.  Improve your knowledge and understanding of meats, fish, vegetable and sauces. Learn to fillet, de-bone and plate it all up like a professional.

Stay the night

Having too much fun? Stay the night at our bed & breakfast and enjoy a warm, generous breakfast from our kitchen. Including, if you wish, slices of the bread you’ve baked the night before and our freshly laid free range eggs. With hiking and cycling trails in our back yard and a sundeck in our front garden, you will find several ways to relax around the grounds with a glass of wine and a stomach full of your handmade Italian meal.
